Annual
Conferences
NAAPAE sponsors an annual conference held in a different
location every year. The event is designed to promote the exchange of ideas and
networking among participants and to provide them with the information and
strategies necessary to enhance their involvement in the education of Asian and
Pacific Americans.
NAAPAE’s annual conference has been in a different location
throughout the United States and Canada. Previous conferences have been held in such cities
as San Francisco, Washington DC, Honolulu,
Denver, Seattle,
Pasadena, Los Angeles, New York, Toronto,
Chicago, New Orleans,
Kona (Hawaii), Tacoma (Washington), and Vancouver.
The 2010
Annual Conference was held in Burlingame, California on April 9, 10, and 11. This 32nd annual conference was
a joint conference offered by the California Teachers Association Pacific Asian
American Caucus (PAAC), the National Education
Association Asian Pacific Islander Caucus (APIC), and
NAAPAE. The next Annual Conference will be held in
April 2011 at a location to be announced.
